Holiday Programmes
Every year Active Schools organise and run various different holiday programmes. Our main aim is to try and provide a wide variety of different activities for all primary school-aged pupils.
Each coordinator is involved in organising and running a holiday programme in their area. Therefore each cluster of schools has a different timetable of activities, venue and dates may vary slightly – due to this it is difficult to display all the information on the website.
Therefore flyers will be handed out to all children, through the schools, during the last couple of weeks of the summer term with all the details of booking procedures, times and activities. If you do not receive this or would like further information please do not hesitate to give us a call on 01563 555650 or contact your local Active Schools Coordinator from the list of Learning Community on the right.
Summer Fun Programme: usually held on the second, third & fourth weeks of the summer holidays.
We try to offer a wide range of activities that could include – athletics, circus skills, dance, tae kwon do, rugby, cheer-leading and lots more (can vary depending on venue).
This year we are also coordinating a transition programme for primary 7 pupils who will be moving up to secondary school after the summer break. This will allow the children to meet their new classmates and familiarise themselves with the school in a fun & relaxed atmosphere. Contact your local Active Schools Coordinator to find out more information.
