S1 – S3 Annual Girls Football Festival
This annual event is organised by East Ayrshire’s Active Schools team in partnership with the Soccer One Programme. This fun participation football festival is aimed at getting girls more involved in coaching sessions, participation centres and local female football clubs. In attendance at the event was Scottish Women’s International Footballer Emma Fernon, Paul McDonald from Kilmarnock Football Club who kindly gave out FREE tickets to the Kilmarnock vs. Falkirk match to every player and also in attendance was Kilmarnock Girls Under 15 coach Craig Lawson. There were 10 teams in total, with 100 girls participating, some for the first time.
St. Josephs Academy was the overall winners of the festival.
