Hi, I’m Nicola McCormack and I’m the Active Schools Coordinator in the Doon area which covers Bellsbank, Dalmellington, Dalrymple, Littlemill & Patna Primaries, as well as Doon Academy.
My favourite activities are running, reading, going to the gym and socialising with friends, although I enjoy all sports.
My background is varied but has always involved sport in some capacity. For several years now I have worked with young people in sports. This has either been as a seasoned youth worker in Glasgow to working in Kent for a youth charity delivering the Community Sports Leadership & Dance Leadership Awards. In addition to this I also spent some time in America coaching children all different kinds of sports ranging from basketball to baseball!
I have a HND in Sports Coaching with Sports Development as well as an Honours degree in PE and Sport.

Patna Receives 2014 Community Grant
Patna primary were successful in receiving £958 from the 2014 community fund to run a football and netball league for all the primaries in the cluster. Pupils from P5-7 now compete in a monthly Doon Football and Netball league which is held at Patna Primary school and Panta games hall. Over 60 children participate in the monthly event and enjoy every minute of it!
